New Brands For Spring Summer 2024

At Happy Little Soles we have been delighted by the expansion of the number of barefoot brands over the past few years.  We love to support and encourage new and emerging barefoot brands and ranges from all over the world, helping the barefoot community to grow.

Over the last 12 months we have introduced several new brands to the Happy Little Soles range, with more to come! So we thought we'd take a look at the new brands that have come in over the last few months and give you a sneak peak at what's yet to launch.

Young Soles Barefoot Range

We loved the new school shoes from the Young Soles barefoot range that we trialled last year and are working to expand the range starting with some lovely sneakers.

Young Soles is a distinguished luxury children's footwear brand, renowned for merging retro-cool aesthetics with timeless heritage designs. Conceived in East London and meticulously crafted in Portugal, Young Soles shoes stand out for their unparalleled quality and use of premium materials. Their super-thin barefoot sole is zero drop and really flexible, it’s sole is a mere 4mm in thickness.

Crafted from natural rubber, it ensures maximum flexibility and comfort, making it a superb choice for children's everyday footwear.The medium width fit and great shape to the toe box makes them a great alternative to Bobux.

Luks

We have partnered with Luks Shoes, a revered family-owned business from the Czech Republic, who bring a unique offering to our collection with their handcrafted footwear.  Luks Shoes stand out for their dedication to quality and craftsmanship with each pair of shoes meticulously handmade in their own workshop, embodying the essence of artisanal skill.

Their range of sandals, shoes and boots are all on a lovely thin and flexible barefoot sole unit and with a wider fit. What sets Luks apart is their commitment to using only the finest, locally sourced leather, renowned for its super-soft texture, ensuring that every shoe offers unparalleled comfort and durability.

Common Tread

New for 2024 we are delighted to be stocking South African brand, Common Tread.  Common Tread is a new and embryonic children's brand founded by husband and wife team John and Nicole van Besouw, an engineer and occupational therapist respectively.  They were inspired by the need to make healthy, practical, and protective footwear for their growing son.

They make a lovely range of shoes and sandals, partnering with skilled artisans in Cape Town and Durban. Each pair of Common Tread shoes is made from locally sourced materials, including premium super soft Namibian leather.

Their crepe rubber sole is a super wide fit and lovely and thin and flexible. It is 3mm thin with a 2mm leather insole giving a total stack height of 5mm. This makes these some of the most barefoot options we sell, particularly in the sandal range.

Realfoot

We had an unprecedented series of recommendations and requests from our customers for Realfoot shoes for adults and were delighted that we were able to bring them to the UK.  Realfoot are a small business based in the Czech Republic.

They focus on barefoot shoes with a unique toe box that they claim offers the widest space for toes in the world, a claim we have to agree with!  They spent 3 years developing their sole unit with its unique shape that is slimmer through the heel & midfoot with a wide fan shape at the toes designed to give the foot space while holding it firmly in place.

RealFoot Trekker Low Grey

The toe box on the shoes is amazing and certainly wider than anything else on our website. If our customer feedback is anything to go by these shoes have proved a brilliant addition for wider footed customers and we hope to be increasing our range over the next few months.

New To Happy Little Soles - Still To Come

Shapen

Shapen is another brand that customers have been requesting for some time and we are hoping to be launching our first range later this month. Shapen is a Slovakian brand started by a young mum, Mia, who having tried barefoot shoes for her daughter was inspired to create a range of colourful, stylish and fashionable barefoot shoes for adults.  

We have been delighted to find them offering some of the best barefoot occasion wear, offering beautiful shoes in a great range of colours that are perfect for work, parties, weddings and other occasions when something a little smarter is called for.

They all have a lovely barefoot sole which is zero drop, flexible and wide fitting.  Shapen offer one of the few smarter barefoot options that work for extra wide feet. 

Bosky

Bosky sandals have come highly recommended by a fellow barefoot retailer in Europe and are a barefoot sandal brand based in the Czech Republic.   They were established quite simply out of a love for sandals and a love of barefoot. 

They make all their sandals in the Czech Republic and believe in simple criteria - durability and versatility.  Focussing exclusively on sandals has allowed them to develop a wide range of soles and options to meet all criteria.  The first shipment has just arrived in our warehouse, and we can’t wait to introduce them to you later this month.

Igor

Igor came to our attention as they produce the only barefoot jelly sandals for kids that we have ever come across.

 They design and manufacture a lovely collection of Wellington boots, jelly sandals and summer sandals from their factory in Almoradí, in the Alicante province of Spain.  They have recently ventured into the barefoot market with a fantastic new barefoot sole unit and are producing Jelly sandals and wellington boots using this concept.  We have been delighted to stock their jelly sandals and are looking forward to their barefoot wellington boots later this year.

 Their barefoot soles are lovely and soft and flexible, zero drop sole with a 4mm stack height, a great shape to the toe box and a medium to wide fit.

Gaucho Ninja

Gaucho Ninja is a UK based shoe company, established by artisan shoe maker, Lisandro Serra Delmar.  They are based in Herefordshire, working from a green roofed oak workshop constructed as part of a growing community of artists and makers by the Slough Brook at the foot of the Black Mountains.  From this idyllic location Lisandro has been producing a range of custom made totally bespoke shoes to order.  These are beautiful shoes, inspired by his background and experience in martial arts.   His custom shoes are made from vegetable tanned leathers made using traditional methods to retain their beautiful tones and variations and giving a truly beautiful long lasting product.

However this is a very expensive way to make shoes so Lisandro looked for a factory which would share his values yet allow him to develop a range of barefoot shoes at a more affordable price.  Eventually he found such a factory in Spain and his new range, Barefoot Pals, was born.  We are delighted to be working with Lisandro to help bring this range to a wider market.

Barefoot Pals are a super range on a lovely wide fitting stitched down construction and are some of the lightest shoes around.  The leathers are ethically sourced, vegetable tanned, unlined and buttery soft giving a totally minimalist shoe that needs no wearing in.  The shoes are breathable and moldable on a lovely thin, flexible and super wide sole.

We are very excited to introduce our first samples of these shoes later this month.

As well as an incredible selection of new brands we're delighted to see the return of some real Happy Little Soles favourites.

Tikki

Tikki needs no introduction and has long been one of our most barefoot and most popular brands.  We have a great range of summer sandals and shoes for both adults.......

.......and kids! Just about to ship to us after a couple of years without being able to source stock.  We are definitely looking forward to welcoming them back.

Feelmax

Finnish brand Feelmax also had to take a bit of a wholesale break while they revamped their manufacturing and brought it all back to Finland.  We are delighted to have a confirmed order of their amazing kids’ trainers and hope to have them back with us later in the year.
