The Plae Emme Black is a classic Mary Jane sports shoe, designed to combine school-ready style with athletic performance and everyday comfort. Made from durable ballistic nylon and eco-friendly suede, the lightweight construction ensures long-lasting wear without weighing little feet down — ideal for school days, playground fun, and weekend adventures.
Plae shoes are thoughtfully designed to follow the natural shape of a child’s foot, supporting healthy foot development. The flat, thin and flexible sole features dynamic traction treads to provide excellent grip, helping kids stay active and confident on any surface.
Additional features include durable toe guards for protection during play and wicking, washable anti-microbial inserts to keep feet fresh and comfortable, even after a long school day.
What makes the Plae Emme Black extra special is its customisable Velcro tabs. These allow parents to adjust the fit for narrower or wider feet, while also letting kids personalise their look with different tabs, available separately.

Plae Shoes & Trainers Size Chart
One of the biggest challenges we face is standardising the sizing structure as sizing varies between brands. For example a UK4 for one brand may be significantly different to a UK4 in another.
To help you we have attempted to standardise this by measuring all our shoes in centimetres (Internal Shoe Measurement (cm)) and then converting into our UK size for familiarity purposes (HLS UK Size). Please note that this will usually vary a little from the manufacturers conversion (Plae UK Size), which is shown on the box, as this is unavoidable as we try to standardise across all brands.
We recommend purchasing shoes/trainers which measure around 0.8-1.0cm bigger than the length of the longest foot measurement. Please see the table below detailing the Internal Shoe Measurement (cm) alongside the Foot Length (cm) this size shoe will fit.
Always buy based on the centimetre measurements of the shoe and the foot rather than the EU size, UK size or manufacturer's size.
